I wanted to thank everyone here for a fantastic experience and a lot of valuable learnings... but as life gets busy and my time becomes more of a premium I have decided to peel back on my flickr time and spend more time focusing on family, work and taking photos.

I will still be posting photos to chronical my progression but I apologize in advance that my comments that i make will be minimal... I appreciate any comments and suggestions you make on mine but I may not have time to recipricate...

For those that do not know me... I have been interested in photography since the age of thirteen when my father brought home an Olympus 35mm camera.

I will never forget seeing an image of the moon trailing across the horizon atop a country landscape. I remember being amazed that you could manipulate objects by allowing the camera shutter stayed open... or adjust the focal points by adjusting the aperture... and how manually adjusting the ISO could have such a dramatic change in the look of a black and white portrait... The plethora of opportunities amazed me.

The next school year I signed up for a photography class in high school and I was hooked... until girls became more important... but after a long, LONG 25 year absense, I am back taking photos and slightly over exposing versus slightly under exposing in 35mm... (if you have shot both in film and digital i am sure you know what i am talking about)

Now I am just a photographer that is looking to fine tune his abilities in shooting and editing photographs.

So far I have won a couple awards, sold some photos, entered a ton of contests, met some wonderful, and very helpful people on flickr and at my photo club, www.gripskw.ca ... and I thank you all.
