Each image is a visual treat, drawing you in and making you feel a part of each scene - as if you're not simply observing it, but feeling it through his lens. Perhaps this is what truly distinguishes a good photographer from a great photographer, this ability to not only create a masterfully composed image but to saturate it with such intense mood and make you feel it with your heart, not just see it with your eyes.
  
  Artistically he also makes brilliant use of perspective and depth of field to create refreshingly unique photos that lead the viewer into seeing the world differently. He has a true artist's eye, the ability to see the beautiful in the ordinary, to frame it to its best potential and capture the light, color and texture of a magical - and real - world. I've always enjoyed Johnny's use of contrasts in his image, in terms of subject matter. Even when he juxtaposes two very different subjects, he makes them feel balanced - like yin and yang, or light and shadow, they somehow belong. His processing is always perfectly suited to his work, not overdone, and infused with warmth and beautiful color.
