Eldaren's photostream

I was born in Falun, Dalarna, almost in the middle of Sweden. But since the mid 1980's I live in Södertälje, about 35 kilometers west of the capitol Stockholm.

My late father, Sture Grönlund, started photographing trains during the 1970's, and as a family we spent a lot of time at trackside throughout Sweden. So, railroad photography runs in my blood. My father passed away in cancer in april 1998. He left a large collection of railroad photographs behind, and a lot of them will be scanned and uploaded here.

I will be uploading some of the old stuff as well, partly to show improvements (I hope I am improving?) in my photographic skills, and partly because all photography has elements of documentary value.
