I am constantly amazed by the biodiversity of life. There is so much beauty in this world. I love the earth - oceans, mountains, sky, wide open places and quiet sacred spaces - I need this life force energy to keep me in balance, at peace... but alas, I live in a city. Patterns in nature across the microscopic and the cosmic astound me …Humanity and civilization, the spiritual and the profound, industry and creativity, geology and discovery overwhelm me and are concepts I revel in. ...and star nurseries, dark matter and dark energy?!

I must thank my talented brother, "Doogin" for turning me on to this extraordinary site. I am astonished by what you all see and create. Though quite visual, I am essentially new to photography, having never mastered even the basics. I've not painted in over ten years, but find it interesting that I continue to see everything in terms of canvases. A simple point and shoot Canon S70 is my enabler - with it's automatic setting I can avoid confronting the technical aspects of this medium for now (much to the consternation of my brother -ha!). We shall see...
