itspiv says:
"Not only can the man shoot fire extremely well, get close shots of Donald friggin Sutherland - and some other celebrities (DS ffs!), document Burning Man as well as I've seen it done, wield a 5D like an extension of himself, and polish a picture like an antwerp brilliant cut, he is not too proud to share a little of what he knows to those in need.
He showed me, not the magic of twinkletones (which I intend to study in depth later), but the importance of underexposing a Nikon digital in daylight. Something I could see the results of immediately. Something I might never have figured out for myself. I promised Caleb this Testimonial was going to be scathing and scurrilous - but I lied."20th December, 2009

Jakes_World says:
"I adore Caleb. The man has more charisma than Brittany, He also knows how to wield a camera like no other, If it were not for Sara, I'd stalk him. Because , well he rocks like 1999."

"Caleb oh Caleb...there are so many words that could be used to describe such a character...charming, evil, cute, viewwhore, prolific, talented, and the list could go on and on (but no need giving him a bigger head than he already has!)
Really, he is cool guy who takes some f-ing amazing pictures. I am glad to call him friend."8th December, 2009

J-Bones says:
"SeraphimC is more than the humorous, hairy, artistically talented, mildly arrogant but kindhearted, ultra-liberal, multi-lingual, prolific polymath he appears to be at first glance; he's...
...
... well... actually no. I guess that does sum him up rather nicely.
Do check out his stream. He has a great eye and impeccable technique."17th July, 2009

jakerome says:
"My mother, naturally, thinks I am some sort of photographic genius. And well she should, because I am. Well, she used to think that, until she met Caleb. This ne'er do well joined us for dinner one night, and took a few photos of us. Well, as soon as she saw his portraits, I was done for. She's now got his photo on every social network that she belongs to, and I think she's on the verge of removing my photography from the living room to replace with his.
Thanks a lot jerk face."16th July, 2009

Rod Capturedsun says:
"Caleb has been taking pictures since before he could walk (I bought him his first camera, I should know). His talent is astonishing and only just fits inside his head. His colour photographs are vivid, beautiful and engaging. His black and whites technically flawless and emotive. To top it off he is funny, witty, eloquent and surrounded by great people. Caleb is... the whole package. There is much to see here, so go look at his stream-look and learn!"

"being part of the vast leftwing conspiracy, i didn't dare to write a testimonial to the mastermind behind it all. however it should be noted that Caleb is one of the main reasons i endured the great depression of 2007 and the rebuilding of DMU.
also, his 50mm hipshot is unerring and he has the hottest girlfriend!"16th August, 2008

"I just realized I have not left some love for Caleb Sconosciuto.. I met him while muff diving in Mexico 3 years ago and at that time I just knew We would be BFF! His way of making you feel good about yourself all at the same time letting you know life is what you make it has always inspired me to try new things. If it was not for him I would never had joined DMU which to this day I still wounder why I did. If I ever do become famous I'll still remember those days in Mexico.. Btw... his has really good taste in the finer things in life.."

"I regard SerephimC as 1 of the nearly sane.
. Which considering most of you lot are lunatics is still a compliment.
He has to be 1 of the best photographers on flickr
Which even though most of you are lunatics is still a compliment.
His photographic knowledge is huge and he is quite willing to go over the same points again and again and again knowing we will still not grasp it.
though i'm not sure it's not just a case of using big words, its just the rest of us are too stupid to call his bluff.
Go through his photo stream
Enjoy

"Why oh why does he not have a testie from me? Oh well, I shall rectify that immediately!
Ok, even though the fucker is probably going to be too busy to see me when I'm in LA later today, I still like him. And why do I like him? Could it be his yummy lighting? NO. Could it be his awesome photos of bands? NO. Could it be is curly hair and thick facial hair? Almost, but no.
I'll tell you what it is: His hott girlfriend and her hott sister. Go, find those sets, you will love them!
(Ok, and maybe I like him because he's never given me undo shit and he's one of the first people ever to compliment my body in a non-nasty way that made me actually believe that maybe it's nice and maybe the work I'm doing is good....maybe.)"15th August, 2008

"Extremely prolific, Caleb's work with a camera is often simply perfection, captured. His technical skills are matched with an artistic eye, and an obvious passion for his craft.
I have learned more of what a digital black & white photograph can & should be from viewing his work, than anything I've seen to date, and always look forward to seeing what his next post will bring."9th November, 2007

"Dear SeraphimC
After spending just a few hours in training with you I was astounded at the improvements in our photography. I thought of myself as a bit of a 'camera buff' and was sure that modern digital cameras would make up for any inadequecies in our knowledge. However - after some careful and patient instruction and guidance we're now producing photos in a different league altogether - and our clients and future clients have noticed too. Please don't contact any of my competitors!! Thanks also for the ongoing advice and assistance, every bit as valuable as the initial training - we're looking forward to continuing our relationship with you.
Yours

"Sera has a big brain. Just huge it matches a lot of other things he has that are on the huge scale, like vocabulary and heart...among other things. His work reflects the thing in which he feels most passionate about: the outside world. And in that, he shows you all aspects of that with a click of his camera.
He knows what he's doing in several languages. He's full of photographic knowledge, stuffed away in that head of his, always willing to share. Seriously, what more could you ask for in a flickr friend? No wonder his name is that of an Angel."23rd July, 2007
-
cyanatic says:
"It is time to put to rest the vicious calumny aimed of late at the photographic genius of Caleb Sconosciuto. Rumors of his mistreatment of South American rodents are proof only of the savage and bitter envy with which some greet his visionary photographic talent. His series of bichromate kalllitypes of Patagonian cavies wrapped in rancid prosciutto shine with an artistic brilliance on a par with a Man Ray abstract or a Mapplethorpe bullwhip. Besides, he knows a lot of cool things about lenses and post processing and shit, and he's often willing to share that knowledge with the uninitiated."

I tell you today that Seraphim C will be remembered not only for his beard, but for his unreal understanding of the ins and outs of the photographic technodrum. this includes his outrageous understanding and manipulation of undertones, microtones, macrotones, macrosupertones, superdupertones, teletones, tinkletones, twinkletones, tetra adn gygatones, tones you and i didn't know (and quite possibly do not) exist.. even at his young age, seraphim c has already left a deep, hairy impression on the world of photography for which we are all grateful"

"It was in the summer of 1945, when I first spotted young Caleb secretly photographing NAAFI girls in the changing rooms. By the time I caught up with the young scamp he'd already processed two rolls and was selling prints to airmen for a shilling a piece! Those were the days... Of course we all remember when he "borrowed" the CO's motorcycle and decided to set the lap record around the perimeter track, by the time Smudge had finished him he wasn't able to sit down for a week!!! Great days... Great days."

"I have taken long before writing my first testimonial. Looking at SeraphimC's photostream once more, I decided it had to be for him or never. SeraphimC uses photography in the most human way, capturing the good, the bad and the ugly with the same eye. He captures life around him, little things and bigger things, to picture the day, ponctuate weeks, highlight months and highten years. It is documentary as it is art. Down to earth, factual, straight out of the box.
Cheers to that SeraphimC, you're always an inspiration and an encouragement."21st April, 2007

Please, take some time to peruse his prolific photostream. I’ve certainly enjoyed making my way through it, and have come to the conclusion that there is no subject that he hasn’t tackled, and most (if not all of these subjects) have been captured with a unique and discerning eye. (Word has it that he may in fact have two eyes… but I’m still skeptical.)
