In August 2009 I first tried out an SLR when I went to London with a friend. I had no idea what I was doing, spent the whole day in manual with manual focus, and later realised that the viewfinder wasn't set up for my eyes - the perks of needing glasses.

Since then I've moved on a bit, I still pretty much always shoot in manual, but have learnt to appreciate automatic focus. My post processing has improved, and I tend to stick with Canon DPP; getting what I want when I hit the shutter is the preferred option, but that doesn't always work.

I also like reading, music, travel, running, indoor climbing, ducks and the generic activities.

Life is good, photography isn't the be all and end all, but it's a damn good way to remember things.
