Hi everyone, I thought I'd update my profile.

I'm a 53 y.o. amateur photographer. A few years ago my 27 year old son encouraged me to join Flickr. He had urged me to start shooting manually instead of point and shoot so that I could understand photography better. He didn't know he was opening a can of worms. This started a hobby that I became totally obsessed with.

I just progressed from a Nikon D3000 to a Nikon D7000. It's been quite an undertaking for me to learn this camera. And I think it will keep me busy for many years.

I've been exploring different types of shots. I seem to be drawn to abstracts and urban, gritty images. Although you would not know it by looking at my photostream. I do get bored taking the same subject matter all the time. I can't stress enough that I have alot to learn.

I also enjoy golfing, traveling, pottery, reading and learning new things.

Presently, I cannot add anymore contacts. My life is very full right now. I want to be able to have the time to view my longtime flickr friends' photos. Lately I feel I have not had enough time to do that. Hopefully when my life quiets down I will be able to add more friends. Thanks for understanding.
