After a prolonged and reluctant break from Flickr I was delighted to be welcomed back so warmly. Thank you. I missed seeing my contact's images and having the opportunity to comment on them, or just have a chat.

There will be times when I'm unable to participate, or express what I want to say adequately in words, it's just how things are.

Many have difficulty understanding why others genuinely have fewer choices in life. Whilst onlookers recognise my obvious physical disabilities they seem to have problems accepting the impairments which are not so obvious to the eye. Others with mostly hidden disabilities have a particularly difficult time in this respect.

I find passing on this article easier than trying to explain why they, and I, cannot do what we would like when we would like. Please note this does not just apply to Lupus/SLE but many other conditions as well. It was not written by me but is widely recognised as one of the best explanations around.
