The Stanford Medical History Center connects people to the history of medical care, education and research at Stanford and beyond. This involves collecting historical evidence, such as:

* unpublished documents
* photographs and other visual materials
* medical instruments and other artifacts
* oral histories
* digital media

The Stanford Medical History Center is responsible for the security and long-term preservation of these materials. Most importantly, it provides access to these materials for a wide range of uses, including: scholarship, genealogy, faculty and student recruitment and development, alumni relations, public relations, and curriculum development.
