I'm a Getty Images Artist

My home is just north of of Albuquerque NM, about a mile west of the Rio Grande. A former (20+years) computer guru, I now indulge my passion for photography whenever possible. I have had some photos published, and sell prints at local craft shows, retail spaces, Albuquerque Photographers Gallery, and online .

I use a Nikon D300 and various lenses. RAW images are processed with Nikon Capture NX. Sometimes I will 'tart up' an image with Paint Shop Pro if the spirit moves me. I do not believe that image manipulation is inherently evil. The camera captures IT'S version of reality, not mine.

TO USE MY WORK, PLEASE READ:
All of my images are now protected by the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs-No Commercial Use License. This means you cannot edit my images or use them for commercial purpose without my permission. If approved by me for use, you must give me credit. If you ignore this, legal action will ensue. Thanks.
Oh - and 'blockheads' with no photos who 'fav' will be blocked. instant karma.

Despite all that, I am here mostly for fun, inspiration, and sharing.
All of my images are available in high-quality prints in various sizes. Please visit my website to order, or just flickrmail me.

In 2010, all of my photography profits were donated to charity.
Those charities were Doctors Without Borders
doctorswithoutborders.org/
and Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary.

    SouthWestDreams  says:

"I have to preface this by saying I do not have a fav folder of other peoples work. I barely ever look back on mine. That said, if I did, Naps work would be a centerpiece. I have several contacts whose work I admire but none have such a consistent standard of excellence. Forget exposure, white balance and the rest. We can all get that right on occasion. What stands out is his unerring eye for composition"

"An hour and 45 minutes ago, I sat down to write a testimonial for Naps. However, I ended up looking at his photostream, pics that I have looked at before, and faved - and got lost in them again. The images portrayed are so American southwest, each inspiring emotions and feelings, all so unique and top-notch. Naps is an artist through and through, with such an excellent eye for composition, giving us all a glimpse into his creativity."

indee•~off due to job demands~back soon! says:

"Let me be the first to officially say Naps has an eye for majestic beauty as well as the tiny worlds we tend to overlook. Not your ordinary Albuquerque landscape photographer, he blends his creativity with the natural beauty in his surroundings to produce unique variations on nature. His photos are as colorful and perceptive as his personality and quick wit.
His photos elicit wonderment and awe at the world through his eyes.
A great place for a visual vacation."
