I´m curious, and I love my artificial eye...

I like to find and explore places where the sense of wonder we all knew once captures me again, where nothing is explained, all is guessed: abandoned factories, ruined hospitals, overgrown railroad installations or rotting bunkers. Places with a certain but mostly unknown past and an uncertain but most predictable future.

I like the textures and shapes and colors of these places and nature´s ways of taking over again. I like their silence and their sounds, the sincerity and dignity of decay, as opposed to noisy life on the surface of our modern plastic world. I try to document the feel of these places with my pictures while I keep learning (with your help :-) how to get better at it.

At the moment I use a good old Nikon D70 and its18-70mm Nikkor kit lens, plus the ultimate urbex eye, the Sigma 10-20.
The newest addition is a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens, which I still have to get used to.
Looking forward to a 70-300mm lens somewhere in the near future.

"I have been following 3PASSA’s photostream for quite some while now, and I am repeatedly both surprised and humbled by the quality of his pictures. His keen eye for details and his impressive processing skills result in amazing images in which he captures urban history and decay. Using strong colours and contrasts as well as subtle lighting, he creates impressive images full of moods and drama."
