The function of the artist is to make banality beautiful and make beauty banal. Which is to essentially play the game of the commodity, to empty culture and put a nothingness in its place. Art replaces life with an image, as if the image were valuable and life pales by comparison to its glowing reflection.
There is no reclaiming art. Its form and content are capital.
As always, we must destroy everything.
