Flickr: Dany a Photographr

I rather criticism as opposed to compliments - thats how my photography improves. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings, for I thank every word that helps me improve.

Look I have this thing against posting gifs and animations in comments, it just bugs me to see this little thing dancing around in the comments section. I don't mind if they are links to other photos but I don't like pictures that link to groups. You won't ever see me post an animation in a comment.

I also have this thing against generic comments, what do I mean? "Beautiful Capture!", "Please join our group!" "Wonderful" and all the rest. Thanks for the comment but its really pointless!

Now all that negative stuff is out of the way a bit about myself.

I love Photography! I never thought I'd like anything artistic until I got the D60 in Jan of 2009. That changed it for me, now every time I see a photo I can't help but critique it in my head - a good and bad thing. I mainly take landscapes and would love to get into wildlife and macro shooting but the hardware is limiting at this time (which I hope will change soon =D).

Since buying this Flickr account and fine-tuning my photographic eye, I have decided on the policy of keeping my D60 + 35mm 1.8 within arms reach at most times so that I don't miss an opportunity, this is because I know that if I don't have my D60 on me, I'll have to fall back on my iPhone to take the shot. I quite frankly will not trust the iPhone to take something sharp at all. But on the bright side I have found that taking photos with the iPhone can be quite a fun challenge! Naturally the forced slow shutter speeds of the iPhone lends itself to a great panning device.When I get a few decent shots going I'll post a few ;D

Now that the rant is over, thats my story so far.
