Cookies are my little niche in this big world. They provide a needed creative outlet and I love the smiles they bring to those who receive them. I enjoy the wonderful support and camaraderie here on Flickr and have recently opened up some of my work for public viewing, but I do have a few stipulations regarding my designs:

1) My designs are not to be copied (note the copyright information). I take this very seriously. The work I post is part of my design portfolio, not shown for the purpose of being copied, duplicated or replicated in a similar or simpler design. The copyright does not apply to an overall concept, as many will produce cookies with the same theme, but to my specific design.

2) Modifications of my designs do not void the copyright. Thus, making slight changes to my designs and claiming them as one’s own is not permitted. My copyright lawyer calls those ‘derivative works’ and it is still copyright infringement, which is illegal.

3) If you wish to play with one of my designs, please request this of me first and then give credit for the original design when posting.

4) Due to extensive copyright problems I have experienced, photos are not to be pinned, posted, tagged or blogged about without my prior consent.

If anyone has any further questions regarding copyright law, they can contact the United States Copyright Office or contact a copyright attorney as I have done in order to learn the laws and regulations.

So to sum it up:
1) Do not copy my designs. Note the copyright watermark. Do not do unauthorized derivative works off of my designs. Both are copyright infringement and both are illegal. Lastly, please do not pin, post, blog or tag my work.

2) If you wish to create your own design based off of mine, please ask first, make changes to my design and give credit when you post it.

I apologize for the lengthy verbiage, but I have had my work closed off from public viewing for quite some time due to issues in the past and do not wish to experience a repeat of what has occurred prior.
