I'm new to photography.

It started as a side hobby to give myself a creative outlet during my Masters course in sociology. Over time became a more serious passion.

It's an expensive hobby. I had to drain all the savings and scholarship funds I could rake up. But it's worth the money when you take that one magical photograph. And post-procesing is a world in itself.

I try to take photographs that convey something. It's not enough to find subjects that are aesthetically pleasing, although photographically that may be an interesting exercise. Photography, and indeed art itself, has to be about something more. I'm still somewhere on the road.
