First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for their comments on my pictures. I really appreciate all your feedback.

Please feel free to add me as a contact, but please do not be offended if I do not reciprocate. I try to comment on all my contacts photos when I logon to flickr and even with a small amount of contacts, I struggle to keep up. If I have set you as a contact, it means that you have taken the time to comment on my photos on a regular basis and/or I am inspired by your work.

I have been shooting digital in some shape or form since 1996 when I purchased my first digital camera. That camera was a Kodak DC20 with a whopping 493 x 373 maximum image size. It came with 1 meg of non expandable memory and no LCD, but it was digital. A few cameras later I plunged for a Nikon D100, one of the first digital SLRs. I still had no real idea what I was doing photographically but still enjoyed taking what I thought were photographs. Looking back, those so called photographs were basically just snapshots that family and friends found interesting. Here we are fourteen years later sharing our masterpieces with the whole world.

It was time to learn, so I bought every book I could find on composition and technique then I practiced, practiced, practiced. When I joined Flickr in June 09, I thought I was quite an accomplished photographer but boy I was in for a shock. There are some truly amazing photographers on this site that inspire me to keep improving on a daily basis. I still think I have some way to go but I'm having fun on the way.

My favourite photography genres are Macro and HDR so my stream mainly consists of these types of images. Lately though, I am spending more and more of my time on HDR. About 90% of my photography is now HDR. I still like to do macros now and then, so don't be surprised to see one pop up from time to time.
