"Unlike other New York City photographers, Clifton doesn't use a wide view to capture the metropolis, he captures it through a jeweler's loupe, presenting a collection of polished facets that focus the eye on the colors, lines and shapes of New York. You won't find sweeping urban landscapes here. Viewing his images are more like a visit to Harry Winston, where selected gems are on view.
His style is distinctive. When I glimpse the collection of latest photos from my contacts on my Flickr home page, I instantly recognize his images without reading who they're from. I hope to see many more photos from him!"6th February, 2011
