Trilingue francais, english, deutsch

I'm originally from Switzerland, living in the UK - currently between jobs and looking for the next thing to tickle me - might be anywhere in a month...

I have too much curiosity and too much imagination and a camera in hand helps with both.

I'm nothing special, but I enjoy it :) I tend to take the picture a little too fast, when 10 seconds thinking would have made a better picture. This is especially the case for the pictures taken on my daily walks with the pocket camera. I am trying to slow myself down so I can improve some more :)

I have recently acquired a dog. Pippi Longstocking is a portuguese water dog which used to belong to my friend Lene. When she couldnt keep pippi we went all the way to Denmark and took her home with us - driving from Denmark to Calais and then up to Leeds again. The big question now is how to take pictures of a black dog!

My photos are usually lightly post-processed in ACDSee - I wish I could justify the cost of photoshop, especially since I have training in using it, but the price is ridiculous. ACDSee does a pretty good job and very quickly, so I am sticking with it.

I am trying to take photos each day as part of blipfoto.com (see www.blipfoto.com/iphigenie) and as a result i have started to take a lot more pictures, including my bowl of popcorn or the neighbour's laundry, just to snap a nice image each day

Comments are all welcome, including criticism (as in what could have been better, not "you're rubbish" please :D)

Note: As much as I love comments I tend not to participate in groups that demand people leave comments, as I have noticed (on other people's images, mine are nowhere that popular) that it can pollute a stream with unpersonal cut-and-past comments and flood out the real personal comments. I make some exceptions when the group is perfect for the image or very interesting, but i apologise in advance to those i might refuse.

License: I have put all my textures as Creative Commons, as I think these are the most likely to be useful to someone doing something else. Please do respect the attribution request with a link to here or my website, and let me know what you used them for, I would be really tickled to know where my textures might end!
Other images are still full (c) to me, do not use them without first asking me
