I'm not a photographer...I just take photographs!

My camera was a present given to me in 2008 and although I wasn't initially impressed, I instantly fell in love with macro and the whole new world of tiny giants it opened up to me...I started seeing the world in a way I never had before and I now think it's the best present I've ever received! I just have to get my head round the manual now to learn how to use it!

I love art and design...I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil I think - probably not progressed much further since, but I love it! I started painting a couple of years ago...mainly abstract, but like my drawings and photos, my paintings are just what I do when the inspiration takes me - for no other purpose than for the love of it...so much so that I studied design history for 3 years and loved every minute...[the BA (Hons) degree at the end was a bonus!]

I would never have thought to show my work to anyone until I was persuaded to join Flickr and upload some stuff - I was instantly hooked and never fail to be inspired by awesome photos, images, paintings, etc..and any hints, tips or traps are welcome in the hope that one day I'll take a photo that's on a level with those amazing photos like yours that I come across every day on Flickr...

Not forgetting the great community spirit here from people who encourage me to carry on with kind comments and/or invites to join new groups - you blow me away...thank you!!!
