I work as a secretary in an agency that serves people who are developmentally disabled and/ or cognitively challenged. I live in Eugene, Oregon, which is one of the few liberal communities in this state.

I like to sing and read and take pictures, and most of all, to hang out with my husband of ten years, and our two beautiful kids.

I spent six years in the UK as a child, and my husband was born and raised in London.

I sang lead in a band called Zoomorphics, in Portland, Oregon between 1988 and 1996. Our claim to fame was opening for Soundgarden twice. We were on the same bill as Nirvana once, but they declined to play because there weren't really any people there. They watched our set though. :-)

After a number of years of self-abuse, I am clean and sober. (9 years this May).

I now sing a little with my good friend Pine Red (on flickr, too) and a lot in the car with my kids.

I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Writing. Words are my friends. I am also known as "WordyBird" in other cyberspace communities, hence the moniker: DubbyUB.

I love tea and coffee and making veggie curries. Other things too.

I am looking forward to the day when we all know better.
