Live in Nelson, Lancashire which is in the northwest of England.

I Like riding bikes, taking pictures, spending time with my wife and grandson, drinking beer and just basically enjoying life.

This Flickr thing...

Q/ Why do I post pictures on here?
A/ To make a record, for posterity, to enable friends and family to have access to my pictures and to make their own copies AND to hopefully gain constructive criticism, I'd like to be a better photographer than I am and I'm frequently disappointed with my efforts which annoys me no end, I know how to take a picture, I understand the relationship between shutterspeed, aperture, DOF & EV, all of the above when used correctly (or creatively) can make a great picture but the photographer needs to be able to SEE, this is where I want to improve!

I don't have a problem with someone not liking my pictures, I don't have a problem with people hating my pictures, all comments are welcome but if you do hate a particular picture say why you hate it!

Anyhow, it's just a few days since my birthday which means that there is a surplus of whisky in the house which is partly responsable for this overlong/boring profile filler so I'll stop now (Hic!)
