Hello All!

My name is Nick and I`m from the bustling metropolis of Mississauga. If you can pronounce that on the first try, I owe you a coke. Needless to say, I owe many people many cokes :D

I like what everyone else does: Good food, good friends, good times... oh, and photography (duh)

I started taking pictures with my old Olympus digicam about 5 years ago. While it had a lot of options I grew tired of its limitations and photography kind of fell along the wayside as I pursued other hobbies. That all changed when I bought my Canon Rebel XSi in December of 2008. DSLRs have a way of romancing you into an obsession with photography. I`ve slowly been acquiring more gear to try out different techniques, and experimenting with editing software to polish the final image.

As you may have seen in my photostream, my common subjects include a mix of plants, animals, buildings, cars, landscapes, macro shots and self portraits.

Nearly all my photos are edited in Adobe Lightroom with a few HDR images processed through Photomatix. I'm slowly getting more acquainted with the deeper capabilities of Photoshop and tinkering off-and-on with GIMP. I’m hoping to develop my skills with flash photography once I finally get around to buying one (not to mention affording one)… all in due time.

I welcome all comments, ideas and recommendations you have to offer. Like most of you I`m here to share what I`ve managed to capture and get feedback while also exploring and learning from all the innovative and imaginative shots posted here.
