Me~ I was born, raised and still continue to live my life in the Midwest. I've been married for 30 years to my bestfriend, and have been living a life I am very proud of as a mother of 3 sons, a grandmother of the most adorable children, and I work as a full time Registered Nurse in a rural ER. Photography first started, as it does for many, as a hobby. I have more photos of the family than I could count in a week. I absolutely love photography and remember reading as a teenager of famous photographers, and how I admired their work. I dreamed of someday becoming a photojournalist. I grew up, and as life has it, there were other plans in store for me. Now after the children have grown, I have time to concentrate on things that I had once set aside many years ago. Photography is one of the things. I love capturing forever the complex beauty of life. I concentrated on photos of nature and animals. I have had multiple pictures selected by the editors of Mother Earth Magazine for publication in 2009. One day everything changed when a family member asked me to photograph my niece's wedding. I've been taking portraits every since. My friends and family have been the greatest source of encouragement. Encouraging me to step forward and pursue a dream I left behind. Now I'm constantly thinking about photography...always reading studying of new and better ways to improve my art.
