I was thinking about my obsession with photograhy, trying to pinpoint when it began. Was it when I got my first digital camera in December 2006? Or my Canon EOS Rebel 35mm in 2001? When I inheirited my grandfather's Minolta when I was 16? Then I remembered my first camera. A black, inexpensive, plastic Kodak when I was 5. It took terrible pictures, but I loved it. I've never not had a camera since then.

With my camera I try to capture a moment, a memory, warmth, love, light, energy, joy,magic.

The joke at my house is that I've been everywhere and know everyone. I think the maps prove that's not true. Close, but not quite. Besides, if I'd been everywhere, wouldn't I have the pictures to prove it?
