I love photography! I love taking photographs and I love to look at other's work. I love the click of releasing the shutter and I love f-stops and rule of thirds. I understand the 'rules' pretty well and what I most love about Flickr are all you Creative Types who know how and when to break those rules with such lovely outcomes... I love the stopping of time that happens when we make a still photograph - I like catching a moment . . .

I've been a 'weekend warrior' photographer since high school. Made the [complete] switch to digital a couple years ago, and more recently digging in with Photoshop and recently deep into Aperture and Photomatix. I'm dazzled by the creativity and edginess I see here and I'm inspired to stretch by following my Contacts and Explore. I am spiraling down into Flickr addiction...

I feel like I need to add that, while I'm flattered if you'd like to make me a contact, I will likely block you if you do not have a profile that has at least a few words about yourself. I'm in this for the social aspect. I'm a huge privacy advocate, but since Flickr is really social media for photographers, if you don't want to be social, you needn't list me as a contact - or 'favorite' my images. I too, like many here, have had images ripped off. (And I almost always give permission when requested...)
