Greetings fellow photo enthusiasts,

Every so often, I will grab my old Minolta X-700 and snap a shot here or there. Admiring great paintings and photo art by accomplished professionals and other amateurs inspires me to create or at least try to capture a hint of the work I admire most.

Back in January 2010 I had reason to celebrate when one of my photos was selected to grace the front cover of American Cattlemen magazine. I took the shot of my father's impressive Beefmaster cattle herd using traditional film. This was a reminder to me that relevant photography is not about having the newest DSLR camera out there. I do now have a Canon T3i which I love but I am still a fan of film.
