My name is Devan Mickell Council, I am 22-years-old, and I am photographer living and working in New York City. I received my B.A. from Vanderbilt University and am currently working on my J.D. at Brooklyn Law School. I nerd out on philosophy and musicology, and love writing, shooting photography, and riding bikes. I'm hopelessly in love, addicted to caffeine, dependent on music, and obsessed with grammar.

I am an internationally published journalist, an award winning creative writer, and the editor-in-chief and photo director at Sorta Like a Dream, a Brooklyn-based culture and music blog. I am also a regular contributing photographer for the NYC music blog, Brooklyn Vegan. I primarily shoot live concert, show, and event photography and have extensive experience doing so; my coverage ranges from small local shows, to sold-out arena concerts, to multi-day music festivals, and much more. I am currently available for most concerts, shows and events in the NYC area, though my schedule does fill up quickly.
