I`m just an old guy who decided to buy a digital camera and began to think he could take a decent photo once in a while. Sometimes my camera surprises me and I begin to think of myself as a photographer. Then, as usual, I take the next shot and soon realize it was all just temporary insanity.

I am merely an occasional picture taker. I am beginning to find my way around the manual settings and every once in a while I realize that one photo is more than just a snapshot of the family cat/dog/gramma/aunt/uncle/driveway! Still, I am not nor will I ever be a serious photographer. For one thing, the best picture opportunities always present themselves when I do not have my camera with me!

Still, I enjoy fiddling with the camera and the photos and looking at other`s work, both amateur and professional. I love that "Oooh, aaah" moment that comes with viewing a really remarkable photo that a truly skilled and talented and LUCKY individual has produced. Sometimes, I even have enough presence of mind to take inspiration or challenge from such moments.
