With the considerable support and encouragement of my husband, I dreamed of building a house for over 30 years, renovated an existing house, bought land, designed a house, hired an architect/builder, and supervised the building of a house which we planned to be passive solar, healthy, low-maintenance, handicap-accessible, super-insulated and energy-efficient.

These photos are supplementary to the book I wrote (Green House: The Story of A Health, Energy-Efficient Home) which provides, out of the huge universe of possibilities, one set of choices which may serve as a model.
