A Photojournalism major from BYU, I came back to California where I grew up, and started my way up the photographer 'ladder' as a 'stringer photographer' with Associated Press, which lasted twelve years. During that time, I took a full time position in the City I was living in, as a Police Department - Photographer ( CSI work ). With twelve years under my belt, I made a move up to the County level, and took a position with the Crime Lab Photo Unit. After twenty-two years as a law enforcement photographer, I made one more move up the photo ladder, to County Government, and took a position with the County Public Affairs Office.
During my free time, I've taken 'contributor photographer' positions with JI JI Press (Japan's News Wire Agency - 10 years), WireImage (2 years) and UPI (selected 2007 "Image of the Year).
