I'm an early retiree, recently relocated from southwestern BC to southwestern Nova Scotia, from one side of Canada to the other. Now I live on St. Mary's Bay and there are still days when I can hardly believe my good fortune. It's so elemental here, and so beautiful. Water, sky, light - they're always changing, often from minute to minute. I spend a lot of time just looking.

Words and pictures are two of my 'things'. I use a Canon 20D now but still shoot almost as sparingly as I did with film, not that long ago. Most of my photography is done very close to home, with occasional field trips 'away'. For the past couple of years I've been drawn to photo impressionism, using things like montages, dreamscapes, panning and PS artistic filters to try and express the 'feeling' of whatever I'm seeing. I also like abstract images. But, that said, I do seem to be taking a lot of documentary shots of St. Mary's Bay these days, and WAY too many sunsets!

There's probably enough right here in Nova Scotia to keep this photographer happily occupied for the rest of her days.
