I thought I was just an old pilot. I was in Starbucks the other day sipping a coffee and reading the paper when a pretty young lady set down beside me. She asked me what I did and I said I was an old pilot. I flew gliders, planes, helicopters, balloons, airships and even gyrocopters throughout my career and then I'd write about it. It is all I've ever done from morning to night. Then I asked her about herself.

She said she was a lesbian. She said she dreams about other women, then when she wakes up and showers she fantasizes about other women; when she is eating or working and all throughout the day she watches and thinks about other women but she said it is so hard to find a woman that likes her. I didn't know how to respond, so we sat quietly after that, sipping our coffee and politely ignoring each other.

Shortly thereafter, a young man sat down on my other side and said "Sir, did I hear you say you were a pilot?" I replied to him, "I thought I was sonny, but I just found out I am a lesbian."
