Originally from the States, I moved to Hong Kong at the end of Feb 2007. It was a big change for me as it is both my first time living outside the States and living in a city. I grew up in Suburbia, USA and went to college in The Sticks, NY, er Ithaca. No, not Cornell.

Given my low skill level and home away from home environment, I consider myself a tourist who enjoys taking photos to imprint my memories rather than a photographer, but like to think occasionally I capture a unique point of view.

Got a DSLR in '08. So much to learn. Canon of course, which I inexplicably prefer. EOS 450D also known as EOS Rebel xsi. One time in a million I wasn't too late an adopter. Of course in HK, it seems like almost everyone had a DSLR already.

My goal is to improve my photo knowledge and make those "lasting memories" even better. It's realistically a lifetime goal as I'm known to take the long way to wherever I'm going.

‘A good traveller has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.’ ~Lao Tzu
I'm a planner by nature, but I've got the latter part down. :)

Happy photoing!
