If you pick up a coffeetablebook about Paris, all you will see is the Eiffel Tower, cheese and cathedrals. I want to document what France REALLY is — babyfoot, épiceries, shisha bars, velos, and all the crap of modern living. I think France is distinctly mishandled by Americans who expect it to look like what they saw in Epcot. Sometimes, the French try to make themselves look modern, but then its all hang-gliders, wind-power and graffiti “art,” the last of which is really bad. I’ve been a lot of places and I live out of mini-marts. The mini-marts of Paris are rivalled only by those of Sweden.

“Yeah, well… I’ve been moved around all my life. Dallas, Baton Rouge, Vegas… Sherwood, Ohio. There’s always been a Snappy Snack Shack. Any town, any time… Pop a ham-and-cheese in the microwave and feast on a Turbo Dog. Keeps me sane.”
