It wasn't until my first semester in college that I bought a camera. I had been fascinated by photos I had seen, ironically enough, on flickr, when it was a brand new website. I liked graphic design, so I thought photography would be fun as well. I could never have imagined what would come from that decision, but you can all see on my photo stream. Not only was photography a lot of fun, but it was an escape from all the frustrations and other difficulties I have faced over the years. I started out favoring macro photography, which is still my strongest point I believe. I loved being able to see and share photos and details that are normally too small too see. Since then, I have had several photography positions in different places. Some paid, but mostly volunteer, and I have learned much from all the different people and situations I have worked in.

Many of my photos are of kids (and many are F&F only), and for good reason. I have been working with children on a regular basis since early in high school. I was given opportunities to tutor and teach grade school, and other high school kids as well. I already liked kids in general, so I took on the role with great success. I take great joy in knowing that I have made some sort of impact on child's life, even if I do not get to see the results first hand. Since college, I have been fortunate enough to earn positions in different places working with kids, including summer camps, day camps, & church activities to name a few. Some were photo positions, but many were general counselor jobs.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone on this website who has made an effort to give me advice, support, or has just stirred up a conversation with me. I appreciate you all.
