i like the found - the ordinary - and trying to find something new from it - the recent dock set (Nov 2010) is an example.
the walker evans quote inspires me
"there's a wonderful secret at a certain place and only i can capture it. Only I, at this moment, can capture it...."
that's not about being big-headed but more about saying somewhere in this place is something worth taking.
i use wide angle 17-40mm most of the time and love my prime 200mm as well.
Canon 7D and a tripod more and more - it slows me down!
I find flickr has both re-invigorated my photography. So many strands and good photographers to look at. I love the idea that we are all learning from each other
My other love is that I teach public speaking and thats about changing our perceptions and almost having new eyes - eyes that see support rather than attack. When we are in front of an audience we tend to get blank faces. Our brains see blank faces as a threat so thats why we need new eyes. To see public speaking in a different way
