My life changed on May 8, 2011 when my husband of nearly 49 years passed away, having been diagnosed with acute myeloblastoma leukemia only a month before. Together we had two children (and their spouses) and three grandchildren. They are my rocks and my foundation and I am so grateful for their love.

I could lose myself in the woods, immersed in God's miracles. Now retired (and, sadly, alone) I am free to pursue my love of nature and photography. This has been my passion.

In my other spare time I love to garden, watch and identify birds, read, and take long walks with our 13 year old husky, remembering fondly and missing the other member (my husband) of our "pack." I no longer like to cook, clean or perform other mundane chores. Takes valuable time away from my photography and Flickr friends and other above-mentioned pursuits.

Thank you for your friendship, your visits, your kind comments and invitations. I learn so much from your work and make every effort to visit and comment on your amazing images in return. Please bear with me as I find my way through my recent loss. I WILL BE BACK!
