I'm new to Digital SLR and I'm struggling with
the bells and whistles on my EOS Rebel XSI, but making some progress. I owned a film Canon EF way back in 1975 but like a fool, I let it go. Middle age Boomer. When I manage to get out to shoot, I play around with Manual Mode lately,sometimes OK results, sometimes not. I still have a lot to learn,but since my camera has lots of SD/MMC memory, I can live with mixed results. Some of my shots feel "Static", but I'm working on getting a handle on the mechanics of photography (DOF, shutter speed,etc). I'm off to shoot more tomorrow.Practice,practice,practice.
