I got my first camera when I was about 8 years old – and, following my father's and grandfather's example, have been an enthusiastic photographer ever since. Over the years I used a variety of cameras – point and shoots, SLRs, pinholes – and film types – color, b&w, slides – and, starting in the mid-1990s, I did my own b&w processing and printing. Finally, some time late in 2005, I decided that there really was no way around digital photography …

Over the past few years I have used various DSLRs and Point&Shoots. Occasionally I still use my old analog SLRs, pinhole cameras or one or another of the discarded vintage cameras given to me by other family members.
