I’m a linguist but I adore photography.
I used to be a poet a while ago but my lovely muse has cheated on me and I suddenly lost an ability to write. Yes, just like that. After 14 years I have lost it just like people are losing hearing, vision or memory.
Photography saved me. It has become just another form of saying something important without using such powerful pliant tool as ‘word’.
There is so much poetry in simple things which might seem too usual in a daily rush to even stop and notice them. But i do.
However, for this kind of poetry the words aren’t required. You got the lens; you got your eyes with the built-in viewfinder which is able to detect little pieces of magic all around, small artifacts of reality. I’m trying to use all that wisely.
