No Talent Bum's photostream

As I explore Flickr and see the wonderful work others are doing with photography, I am coming to the conclusion I need to find another hobby. I have realized I do not have the eye for photography that would alllow me to take anything other than mere snapshots. I used to think I could, with study, develop a better eye. Unfortunately, after looking at the work of so many others, I have to conclude I do not have the originality of approach to do anything of any real interest.

At this time I am not quitting taking pictures or Flickr. But, I am re-evaluating the focus of my efforts in this area. If I am, at best, just a person taking snapshots of interest to only myself, there is no need for me to post on Flickr. Present circumstances in my life do not allow for any further time spent on photography other than a once-a-week quick trip to the local arboretum. As the year progresses and work demands grow, even this time will be in jeopardy.

To those people who have had kind words for my pictures, my sincere thanks. If you log on in the weeks to come and I am no longer around, you'll know I've repositioned myself away from photography. Life is fluid and the current will have sent me somewhere else.
