Being the fourth generation of my family with a passion for photography means I really should have some idea of what's going on - and apparently what I had forgotten after a decade-and-a-bit of inaction is coming back to me. People keep complimenting the images I put on Flickr (and stealing them for Facebook, grrrr) so I'm beginning to believe them.
Having the 'right' equipment allows me to almost entirely eschew flash, which is why so many of my photographs are in low light - because I can!
In January 2010 I started studying Photography at Stevenson College, because learning is fun and it's better than being in work five days a week.
Recent stuff? Doing some book covers, covering the West Port Book Festival, the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature's Carry a Poem and Let's Get Lyrical reading campaigns... oh, and those notorious paper sculptures!
I'll get some sleep one of these days.
