My name is Mike, I am married and retired, with two children and two grandchildren.
I have only been into photography for about 3 years (as of 2009).
I started with a second hand Nikon D70 and accumulated one or two secondhand lenses and kit (apart from an Nikon 70-300 which I had as a retirement present).
I live in Suffolk (UK), as did my family for many generations before me. My Flickr name RUM OWD DEW is Suffolk dialect meaning "funny (perculiar)" that's the first word and the last word "situation", the middle word just means OLD which Suffolk people throw in to any phrase!
I am gradually leaning towards macro (sometimes even "double lens" photography and a little wild life.
