For the past two years, I've had the opportunity to intern at various newspapers nationwide. I was also part of Poynter Institute's Summer Fellowship program in St. Petersburg, Fla. last summer.

Working at different newspapers has taught me to put myself in challenging situations where I've learned to adapt to different environments and people.

I think having multimedia skills as a young journalist is also extremely important to have in this industry. That is why I've always continued to improve my skills as a multimedia journalist at my past internships.

At the Chicago Tribune, I produced, edited and published two multimedia stories on street performers and Filipino veterans. I also produced short videos for a multi-part series at the Miami Herald. And at Poynter Institute, I learned about efficient teamwork, and how to find, produce, and edit multimedia stories.

I've been out of school since May 2007 and completed my last internship at the Chicago Tribune November 2008. I am now a freelancer based out in Anaheim, Calif. and available for work in editorial photography.

I am continuing to do freelance work in newspaper photography and I plan on getting into magazine work in the arts and entertainment industries.

I am available for work in documentary projects, both photography and videography. I am also interested in documenting and doing portraiture that supports hip hop culture and arts.

Editorial work for newspapers is my expertise. I am also available for magazine photography.

I am open to taking freelance work anytime. Any work that requires traveling is a consideration I can take as well.
