I am still a film photographer at heart although I have been putting more effort into digital photography. Digital allows for an ease of shooting without as many restraints but the ease requires a different sort of concentration.

Film on the other hand forces me to take time to analyze subjects and compositions without thinking that photoshop will fix my errors. I can deal with one film stock and think about how to best present that image on that film. I can then sit in the red darkness of my darkroom to magically pull a rich image onto creamy fiber paper. I still feel that film is the best choice for archival storage and prefer to take my best photos with film.

I have been putting lots of effort into learning about Milwaukee's history and have a website devoted to it. I have a blog and forums set up on my site although the rest of the site is still in heavy development.
