Ned Lyttelton's photostream
|
I am primarily an urban photographer. At its most basic level, my photography is about uncovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, seeing the vivid and magical in the everyday,. in the home, on the street, around the block, in the parks and the alleyways.
“If we open our eyes, if we open our minds, if we open our hearts, we will find that this world is a magical place. It is magical not because it tricks us or changes unexpectedly into something else, but because it can be so vividly and brilliantly.”

Clear as Crystal says:
"I so appreciate Ned's ability to see the universe in a parking lot. Looking at his photos always means being impressed and surprised. He always presents something unexpected, may it be a colour I didn't expect to be there or an angle I never thought of. His eye for details is amazing. This he proves in his own photos and in the comments he writes. He always finds some nice words on a good title, a well seen arrangement or the idea behind a photo even if the photo itself is not the best one ever taken...;-). Thank you, Ned."

das-odg (is leaving flickr) says:
"some people on flickr have a strongly homogenous personal style of photography which is immediately recognisable. This is not the case for Marysson work, which is extremely versatile and many-sided. In fact, the only constant trait of his pictures is the high quality and originality of his pictures. He keeps amazing me over again with his ideas and more than once I started the day with a smile on my face after looking at his newest pictures - and that is irreplacable."

Nils Windisch says:
"i came to flickr because of the photos, but like many others i discovered there is something social going on, something like a community, something that hasn't much to do with photography itself.
for me, ned is part of this social thing and he's high up on my list of people i'd love to meet in real life.
ned, whenever i have to opportunity to visit canada, be sure i'll call you. i really hope this will happen some day."22nd June, 2006

bongish says:
"Take a moment. Stop wondering around flickr for just a moment and look through marysson7’s collection. His humanity is there in what he sees and captures in this world. Creative, inventive, and generous."
