Mission Statement:
R.E. Barbash is a documentary style photographer based in Columbus, Ohio. She is pursuing both Digital Photography and Graphic Communication degrees from Columbus State. Rachael specializes in live concert photography and also photographs weddings, events and life.
Rachael views photojournalism both as telling the story of the event, but also as an art form. One photograph, well framed and composed, can describe an entire situation, without using words. Her favorite photos in photojournalism become epic representations of the situation. Rachael is particularly inspired by the photography of Annie Leibovitz, Kyle Cassidy and Pete Souza.
Rachael is a contributing photographer for Alternative Press magazine and has pictures published by artists from Action Action and Billy Corgan to Kill Hannah, Shiny Toy Guns and the Dresden Dolls as well as THCComedy Tour and Drexel Theatres.
Rachael uses Canon SLRs with her main lens, telephoto and wide angle lens. She has an internet ready Mac laptop with Photoshop, with which she is experienced.
