Chet Gordon is a staff photographer at the Times Herald-Record in Middletown, NY. (about 1.5 hours north of NYC) & has worked in newspapers for 20+ years, including stints as a staff photographer at three NYC area newspapers, and as a photo editor at the NY Daily News. His work has appeared in The New York Times, International Herald-Tribune, USA Today, Army Times, Popular Photography, and BusinessWeek, among others. A former U.S. Marine, he served honorably in the mid-1980's, including 2+ years stationed on Okinawa, Japan. A longtime volunteer & travel junkie, he accompanies several humanitarian aid clients on their international disaster relief & medical missions. He's worked in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Senegal, El Salvador, Honduras, Haiti, Jordan, Kosovo, Albania, Gaza, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Russian Federation, Venezuela, Paraguay & Afghanistan.
