  "Words can't do them justice, but commenting on islanddreams132's photographs give me great pleasure anyhow, let alone viewing them.
  Whether her landscape and nature photos are shot while hiking through the snows of Pennsylvanian winter woods with evidence that her only neighbours are bears, whether she's taking photos of rural covered bridges that would make Robert Kincaid envious, or even when she is photographing more contemporary bridges, there is a tone to islanddreams132's photos that conjures and pays tribute to the past. This is a familiar world we're seeing and yet an ideal one too and in this sense alien. But it's something we'd like to be a part of. And islanddreams132's photos make us a part of it.
  And islanddreams132 approaches the present with the same generous courtesy. Nobody is more encouraging - and constant - when commenting on her contacts' photos. She is a gifted photographer whose photos I always look for, the most forgiving of critics (though unfortunately never critical), and a Flickr contact whose friendship has been indispensable.
  And yet if islanddreams132 has one eye on the past, she has the other on the future.HDR is having an immense impact on photography. And though I resent that impact, and though I don't feel her photos require HDR, I admire islanddreams132 for experimenting with it. You can't fight technology anyhow. It tends to loosen things up, and where photography is concerned it's liberating. And islanddreams132 wields HDR extremely well, freeing up her photos like she uses her photos to free up the past.
  In one sense photography has always been about technology, and if you let it technology will leave you behind. islanddreams132 is one of a number of Flickr friends I have who is not going to be left behind. I just hope she'll send me emails from the future once in a while - and her photos."
