So here I am, Day 40 of my first 365 and I've decided to write something on my profile. So where should I start?

I've been interested in photography all my life and have had a hankering for at least 20yrs to make it a hobby (rather than just taking birthday/wedding/holiday shots).

Last year I turned 40 and decided the time had come ... I signed up for membership of the local photoclub, started taking lessons and then took 3 months to pluck up the courage to start my 365.

Wish I'd started years ago ... I have lived in / visited so many countries I would've had the most amazing archive - still, better late than never :)

I am currently using a Kodak Easyshare C613 P&S whilst saving money for my Nikon D5000. It's a nifty little camera to carry around , but the only manual setting is EV +/- so it is rather limiting.

I also have a Minolta Dynax 5 (which my husband bought me as a gift when our daughter was born 7 years ago) but I rarely use it at the moment because:

(a) I don't know how to (except on full auto - duh), and
(b) it's not digital so whilst I'm learning I'd go through reams of film LOL

I would love it if you visited my photostream and commented on my shots ... please don't use my photos without crediting them back to me.

UPDATE - 10/04/2010
Just got past Day 100 and am feeling more motivated as the days are longer and the sun brighter ! Also, I am *very* close to getting the D5000 I've had my eye on :):):)

The D5000 has arrived ! Woot woot ! So has my first copy of "Practical Photography" magazine from the UK ... so watch this space :):):)
